The Draft 2026 Watershed Management Plan (WMP) is updated for review and comment. First, a public 30-Day Informal Review, where the draft document is publicly available online for members of the watershed community to review. Then, a 60-Day Formal Review by members of the District’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), our local partners and agencies, and other formal entities is held, and comments are received. Upon the completion of the 60-Day Formal Review, SWWD will formally respond to comments received during the informal and formal review periods. At this time, changes may be made to the WMP, as appropriate, in response to the comments received. The draft plan will then be submitted to the Board of Soil & Water Resources (BWSR) for the formal 90-Day State Agency Review Period. Following the 90-Day State Agency Review Period, the District will formally respond to comments received by BWSR and make changes as appropriate. After this point, the WMP will be formally adopted by the SWWD Board of Managers and become the primary guiding document for the period of 2026-2036.
