Get Involved
We are all connected to water
Water connects us all. Through nature, recreation, and health, there are so many ways to engage with our vital resource. From individual action to community wide, you can get involved in your watershed today. Explore District programs, partner opportunities, and so much more.
Stewardship Grants
The South Washington Watershed District (SWWD) Stewardship Grants offers financial assistance to support community members, municipalities, and businesses to be a steward to the watershed. Stewardship grants are focused on education that promotes water quality, community involvement, and pollinator habitats.
Resource Restoration & Resiliency Program
The Resource Restoration & Resiliency Program (RR&R) encourages District partners to work collaboratively on shared resource management issues. The District offers direct assistance for local water resource capital improvement projects, non-routine maintenance, and other resource restoration and resiliency projects.
Adopt-a-Drain
The Adopt-a-Drain program has created a way for community members to directly support water quality in their neighborhood. By adopting a storm drain, you become an active part of pollution prevention in our local water bodies and a network of citizen scientists.
Minnesota Water Stewards
The Minnesota Water Stewards program is a way to get involved and advocate for water quality. As a certified Water Steward, you become a leader in local water pollution prevention and conservation. Water Stewards work closely with other community stewards, and participate in local events.
